1.Never go to a party hungry.If your blood sugar is low you will be tempted to eat foods that are sugary or fattening, as these foods tend to raise your energy level quicly only to crash later.
2.Don't stop exercising.Many of us get busy during holiday's and tend to stop exercising because we can't find time. Instead of skipping our exercise routine, we should cut our workout in half.Some is better than none.
3.Never skip breakfast.So many of us keep late nights and tend to over eat at holiday parties.We also compensate by skipping breakfast.Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.It starts our metabolism.Try eating something 15 min. of waking up.
4.Hydrate your body.Many of these holiday foods and spirits dehydrate the body.Make sure you drink 8-10 galsses of water a day.
5.Slow down on alcohol.Alcohol contains many empty calories.Try having a glass of water or seltzer water with lemon or lime in between enjoying holiday cheer.
6.Don't make food the main event.The holiday's are about family,friends, and fun.It's not about eggnog,cookies,stuffing, and drinking.
