spinach-dip-8
spinach soup/dip/sauce
1pk. lite silken tofu
2T Italian herbs
1T garlic powder
1/2cp nutritional yeast
1/4t black pepper
2T butter flavoring
10oz. pkg. frozen spinach,thawed and undrained
blend all ingrediants except spinach until smooth, adding spinach juice as necessary. stir in spinach and heat either for soup or sauce for pasta, veggies, or whatever, or chill for veggie dip.
Low-Fat spicy fries
6 med. potatoes
1T olive oil
1T paprika
2-4 t cayenne powder
1/2 t pepper
cut potatoes into wedges,sticks,or slices. spray cookie sheet or baking pan with a bit of oil.place potato peices in a plastic bag and toss with spices and half of the oil.bake at 350F for about 45 minutes, turning often and brushing with remaining oil. broil about 5 minutes, turning after 3 minutes. servings- 4, fat- 4g- calories-185
Tomato and Onion Pie
1 lg. onion
pizza dough(enough for 1 pizza)
1/4c grated nippy chedder cheese
1/2c drained yogurt or pureed cottage cheese
1/2lb. plum tomatos,sliced
1/8c olives pitted
cook onions with salt to taste, til soft, cool slightly. roll dough into 14in. round about 1/8 in. thick.place in casserole dish, leaving lots of dough overhanging. layer onions over dough. spread with yogurt or cottage cheese. top with grated cheese. arrange half tomato slices on top. sprinkle with olives,top remaining tomatos and season with salt&pepper. bake 35-40 min. let sit 5-10 min. before serving.
